How to set up WinSCP for secure file transfer

  • WinSCP is a popular free client for managing your Hostaday hosting files .
    • Host Name: Use your server's IP address or your domain name.
    • Port: Use 21 for standard FTP or 22 for SFTP (if enabled on your VPS/Dedicated server) .
    • User name & Password: Enter the credentials you created in cPanel.
    • Protocol: Select FTP or SFTP. Click Login to start managing your files. (Note: For Shared Hosting, SFTP might require additional activation via support).
