How to create an FTP account in cPanel

If you need to give someone access to your site files without sharing your main cPanel password, you can create a separate FTP account .

  1. Log in to your Hostaday cPanel and navigate to the Files section.
  2. Click on FTP Accounts.
  3. Enter a Login name and a strong Password.
  4. Define the Directory the user can access (e.g., /public_html/folder).
  5. Set a Quota (or choose Unlimited) and click Create FTP Account .
