Understanding CSF/LFD security notifications

CSF (ConfigServer Security & Firewall) is the primary firewall used on Hostaday VPS and Dedicated servers .

  • LFD (Login Failure Daemon): This process constantly monitors for failed login attempts.
  • Notifications: If someone tries to brute-force your password, CSF/LFD will block their IP and send you an email alert. These notifications help you stay informed about the security health of your server and any blocked threats .
