For VPS and Dedicated servers , you must ensure the FTP service is running:
- Service Selection: In WHM, go to Service Configuration > FTP Server Selection and choose between ProFTPD or Pure-FTPD.
- Firewall: Ensure that Port 21 and the passive port range are open in your server's firewall (CSF) .
- Root Access: You can use your root credentials via SFTP for full server access, but for security, we recommend creating individual FTP users for specific tasks .
