Installing an SSL Certificate on IIS 7 (Windows Server)

For Hostaday Windows-based hosting or dedicated environments :

  1. Complete Request: Open IIS Manager, select your server, and double-click Server Certificates.
  2. Click Complete Certificate Request in the Actions pane.
  3. Select File: Browse for your certificate file (.cer or .crt) and give it a friendly name.
  4. Bindings: Go to your website in IIS, click Bindings, and add a new binding for HTTPS on port 443. Select your newly installed certificate from the list .
