What should I do if my Private Key was lost or deleted?

If your Private Key is lost or deleted, your SSL certificate will no longer function because it cannot decrypt the secure connection.

  • Solution: Since private keys cannot be recovered, you must reissue your certificate.
  • Steps: 1. Generate a new CSR on your server to create a new private key. 2. Log in to your Hostaday Dashboard, navigate to SSL Certificates, and select Reissue . 3. Complete the validation process again. This service is provided free of charge at Hostaday to ensure your site stays protected.
