How to complete HTTP-based validation ('Upload a validation file' option)

  • HTTP-based validation is a reliable way to prove domain ownership without using email :
    1. Download the validation file (.txt) from your Hostaday SSL management page.
    2. Access your server via FTP or File Manager in cPanel.
    3. Create a folder named .well-known and inside it, a subfolder named pki-validation.
    4. Upload the file to: http://yourdomain.com/.well-known/pki-validation/.
    5. The CA's system will automatically detect the file and issue your certificate .
