How to complete Domain Control Validation (DCV) for your SSL

After activating your certificate, the Certificate Authority (CA) must verify that you own the domain . You can choose one of three DCV methods:

  • Email Validation: Receive a confirmation link at an authorized address (e.g., admin@yourdomain.com).
  • HTTP/HTTPS File: Upload a specific text file to your website's server.
  • DNS CNAME/TXT: Add a unique record provided by Hostaday to your Advanced DNS settings . Once the verification is complete, your certificate will be issued and sent to your email.
