Can I add addon domains without changing DNS?

Generally, cPanel requires the domain to be pointed to the server's nameservers before it can be added as an Addon domain .

  • The Workaround: If you cannot change the DNS yet, you can still add it if your hosting provider allows remote domain verification or by using a temporary DNS record (like an A record pointing to the server IP) .
  • Limitations: While you can add the domain to the control panel, the website will not be "live" or accessible to the public until the DNS is eventually updated to point to Hostaday .
