Using default nameservers vs. hosting nameservers

Choosing the right DNS depends on your current service :

  • Default Nameservers: Used when you only have a domain with Hostaday but no hosting. This allows you to use FreeDNS or PremiumDNS for URL forwarding or basic email .
  • Hosting Nameservers: Used when you have a Shared, VPS, or Dedicated hosting plan. These nameservers automatically connect your domain to the web and email services hosted on our servers .
